It’s obvious that young people want to have a voice in politics, but very rarely do they turn out to vote.  Youth Vote aims to change that. It’s an extracurricular program that provides a non-partisan venue for empowering youth for a lifetime of democratic involvement. They needed an identity system that shows a knowledge of the democratic process, independent thinking, and youthful energy.

In a democracy, the power doesn’t reside with one leader like a dictatorship. Power is distributed equally among all people. This concept of equal individuals working together as one is visualized by the logo itself – being made up of varying colors and shapes.

To reinforce this idea of “individuals working together,” the brand material relies on using the pieces of the logo as supporting elements and symbols of democracy.
